Have you ever seen these ads on TV?If you have, then join me in congratulating my boyfriend, A, whose team conceptualized these ads. These ads were finalists during the 2004- 2005 Creative Guild Awards. It may not be the ad of the year, which his agency won also by the way, but it is equally an honor to be recognized.
A, I am truly your biggest, proudest fan!
Oh, and I'd like to share also his agency's ad in the souvenir program:
Copy on top: You'd think that after 20 years the competition would let up.
Copy on bottom: Lowe thanks the Creative Guild of The Philippines for the Challenge.
The guy on the right is my A.

congrats to A!
you guys are so sweet together!
Kat--> Thanks!!! :)
De Villa--> Oh God No! No offense to the one who made that ad but it was a really lame ad. You see, their competition, San Mig Light, is more well known and preferred. When people order it, they just signal the waiter by making the letter L (as in Light) with their fingers. Now, this isnt something the brand taught them. It's just a sign that developed among consumers. And so as an attempt to do the same, Colt 45 came up with the ad, teaching the consumer how to order the product by making a C, 4 and 5 with their fingers. Lame, huh?
Hehe, that last ad is so cool!
De Villa--> How different? Well, to be honest,ad agencies come up with great ideas for a commercial. If you see a really bad ad, don't blame them those who conceptualized the ad but the clients. It's the clients who wanted it that way. A complained so many times that the ad he and his team made wasn't the best idea their team came up with. The best idea or concept was shot down by the client. Instead, the client opted for an ad that was so predictable and unoriginal.
haha cool ads. do give my Congrats to A. i so can relate to how hard it is to get ads into the Guild - and how hard it is to convince clients to produce them (try the oh so prim P&G!).
and for the record, that Colt 45 ad was not a product of our Agency. i pity the team who were hopefully forced into producing that.
that last ad looks cute!
congrats to A and his team.
